Today, we will embark on a tour of Cartagena City, starting with a transfer from the Historic Center to the Popa convent, where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Our next stop will be the San Felipe de Barajas fort, the largest fortress built by the Spanish in South America. Here, we will explore some of its tunnels and view the statue of Don Blas de Lezo. We will then head to the center of Cartagena to stroll through its main streets and squares.

Throughout the tour, our guide will share interesting facts about the history of Cartagena, including legends and pirate stories. While exploring the Historic Center, we will visit landmarks such as the Clock Tower and the statue of Don Pedro de Heredia, the founder of the city. Additionally, we will discover lesser-known areas of the old city with the help of an expert guide.

The tour will provide insights into the various influences that have shaped Cartagena, including romantic, Moorish, colonial, military, Arab, Spanish, and North American influences. We will also visit significant landmarks like the Palace of the Inquisition and the Sanctuary of San Pedro Claver, dedicated to the Spanish priest and missionary known as the “Slave of Slaves” for his work with African slaves in the Spanish colonies.

We will start our morning with breakfast before visiting the Bazurto Market, a traditional market selling fish, meat, fruit, clothing, and art, which is an integral part of Cartagena. Unlike the popular La Popa convent and the San Felipe Castle, this market is not frequently visited by tourists. It’s an excellent place to purchase traditional Colombian food, have a meal, and immerse yourself in the local culture. During our tour through the market’s narrow streets, our guide will introduce us to various fruits, herbs, vegetables, fish, seafood, and meat, as well as stalls selling spices and medicinal herbs. The tour will end at a dining area where you can try the typical lunch option, which is fried fish with yucca (not included).

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a coffee tasting at Café del Mural in the Getsemaní neighborhood, situated in the historic center of Cartagena de Indias. This coffee corner provides a unique coffee tasting experience, allowing you to explore the deep and exotic flavors of coffee. We encourage you to delve into everything this wonderful fruit has to offer, savoring its exceptional flavors and aromas.

Spend a fantastic day on the Barú Islands, near Cartagena. After just a 60-minute journey, you will reach Isla del Encanto hotel, situated in the Corales del Rosario Park. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a day on the island, perfect for families or anyone seeking a delightful beach experience. The hotel offers a large swimming pool, a diverse lunch buffet, and comfortable beach chairs, creating an ideal space for both fun and relaxation.

The trip includes transportation by speedboat or bus, depending on the group size, a typical buffet lunch, and access to hotel facilities.

• Si el cambio se debe a modificaciones de último momento en la operación aérea, paro de transportadores, marchas, clima extremo que dificulta la realización de actividades, etc. Parce Travel Colombia podrá reprogramar los servicios cuando sea posible, sin embargo, el cliente estará sujeto a pagar por costos extras generados en caso de tener un cambio de operación, ruta, fecha y también estará sujeto a perder los servicios que no alcance a tomar el mismo día del vuelo, viaje terrestre o actividad, según el itinerario contratado.

Devolución de dinero:

• En caso de que haya devolución de dinero, el cliente asumirá el 4×1.000 y los costos financieros.
• Si los cambios ó cancelaciones están relacionados con fuerza mayor ó casos fortuitos demostrados, el valor de las penalidades podrá disminuir dependiendo de las decisiones de los proveedores.
• Toda devolución de dinero al cliente se realizará en un término no superior a 30 días calendario.
• Las políticas de cambios y cancelaciones también aplicarán cuando el pasajero no haya pagado el valor del programa en las fechas estipuladas. El pasajero acepta que, en caso de no pagar la totalidad del programa en la fecha establecida, se entenderá como cancelado el plan.
