Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bogotá

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a professional guide and transferred to your hotel. 

You will stay at a selected hotel.

Includes: Private transportation and selected accommodation.

Day 2: Bogotá City Tour

Welcome to Bogotá, the capital and largest city of Colombia. It is the perfect destination for all types of visitors. During your tour of Bogotá, you will experience the past, present, and future of our territory all in one place.

Start your day with breakfast and a visit to the tourist attractions of the La Candelaria Historic Center.

Participate in the Café San Alberto coffee baptism experience, where you will embark on a sensory journey to appreciate and enjoy the unique qualities of special coffees.

You will stay at a selected hotel.

Includes: private transportation from the hotel to the center of the city (for passengers staying in the north of the City), a professional guide, tickets to the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays*), Botero Museum (closed on Tuesdays*), and Monserrate, lunch, a snack, the cafe activity, breakfast, and the selected accommodation.

*Alternatively, visit the Museum of Bogotá.

Day 3: Bogotá - Salt Cathedral - Medellín

Start the day with breakfast, followed by a visit to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá. After that, transfer to the airport for a flight (not included) to Medellín. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a professional guide and transferred to the hotel.

Day 4: Medellín City of Eternal Spring

Start the day with breakfast and a tour of Medellín, which is known as the “City of Eternal Spring” and is currently one of the most innovative cities in Latin America. Its recent past was heavily influenced by Pablo Escobar and violent gang disputes. However, in the last twenty years, Medellín has undergone drastic changes due to an innovative urban development program, transforming it into a modern example of urban transformation. This process has left behind the violence that once classified it as the most dangerous city in the world in the 1990s. Discover the history of Medellín and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Explore the famous Plaza Botero, which features an exhibition by Colombian artist Fernando Botero, known for his sculptures that have become symbols of the city. Take the MetroCable to Santo Domingo, a neighborhood that was once plagued by gang violence. Lastly, visit Comuna 13 and see how escalators, another innovative project, have improved the quality of life for its residents.

Day 5: Guatapé and Piedra del Peñol

Start the day with breakfast and head east of the department to visit one of the main reservoirs in Colombia, which generates a large amount of energy for local consumption and export and is also surrounded by a beautiful landscape of hills around its emerald green waters. Visit the Piedra del Peñol, a gigantic monolith that offers an impressive panoramic view of the reservoir and the surrounding area after climbing 750 steps. The tour continues to the picturesque town of Guatapé, where you can take a walk and capture photographs in its colorful streets.

Includes: Transportation, guide, snack, boat ride across the dam, lunch, breakfast, and selected accommodation.

Day 6:Medellín - Santa Marta - Tayrona Park

Start the day with breakfast and then head to the airport for a flight to Santa Marta (flight not included). Upon arrival, a professional guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 7: Tayrona Park

Explore one of the most stunning beaches in Tayrona Park, nestled amidst nature and mountains. This plan offers the perfect opportunity to encounter diverse species of flora and fauna, enjoy the pristine beaches, and take in the serene beauty of the intensely blue sea. 

Includes: transportation, entrance to Tayrona Park, a guide, lunch, breakfast, and selected accommodation.

Please note that Tayrona National Natural Park is closed three times a year: from February 1 to 15, from June 1 to 15, and from October 19 to November 2.

Day 8: Tayrona Park - Cartagena

After breakfast, there will be a ground transfer to Cartagena with a driver only. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the selected hotel.

Day 9: Cartagena City Tour and Gastronomy

The tour starts with a transfer from the Historic Center to the Popa Convent, which offers a panoramic view of the city. Next, we will visit the San Felipe de Barajas fortress, the largest fortress built by the Spanish in South America, and explore some of its tunnels and the statue of Don Blas de Lezo. Afterward, we will head to the center of Cartagena to walk through its main streets and squares.

Throughout the tour, our guide will share relevant facts about the history of Cartagena, including legends and pirate stories. 

The tour also includes an exploration of the local cuisine, offering an authentic way to learn about the culture of the area. This will involve tasting various street foods, allowing you to experience the real Cartagena and interact with street vendors. The tour will cover a wide range of foods, including tropical fruits, stuffed arepas, empanadas, and more. It is recommended to notify in advance in case of allergies or dietary restrictions.

Day 10: Barú Island

Start your day with breakfast and then head to the dock for transfer. You will spend a fantastic day at the Barú Islands, near Cartagena. After a 60-minute journey, you’ll arrive at the Isla del Encanto hotel, located in the Corales del Rosario Park. It’s an ideal destination for families or anyone looking to enjoy a day on the island. The hotel offers a large swimming pool, a diverse lunch buffet, and comfortable beach chairs. It’s the perfect place to have fun and relax at the same time.

The trip includes transportation by speedboat or bus, depending on the number of people. 

Includes: Private transfer Hotel – Dock – Hotel, welcome drink, typical lunch with a drink, use of beach and resort facilities, round-trip speedboat transportation* with other passengers, breakfast and the selected accommodation

*Note:

By boat: more than 20 people depart in speed boats

By bus: less than 20 people depart by land to the town of Barú and then a 5-minute boat ride to the island.

Day 11: Cartagena

Take the day off and enjoy the amenities of your accommodation.

Day 12: Cartagena - End of services

Have breakfast and transfer to the airport for an international flight (flight not included) back home.

Policies

Reservation and payment policies

  • Reservations can be held for 72 hours without payment.
  • If the reservation is made less than twenty days before the travel date, full payment is required.
  • If the reservation is made more than twenty days before the travel date, a 30% payment is required once hotel availability is confirmed by Parce Travel, and the remaining balance must be paid in full at least 20 days before the travel date.

Change Policies

  • All changes are subject to hotel and service availability.
  • If the change is due to last-minute modifications in the air operation, stoppage of transporters, marches, extreme weather that makes it difficult to carry out activities, etc., Parce Travel Colombia may reschedule the services when possible. However, the client will be subject to paying for extra costs generated in the event of a change in operation, route, or date and will also be subject to losing the services that cannot be taken on the same day of the flight, land trip or activity, according to the contracted itinerary.

Cancellation and refund policies:

Cancellation penalty:

  • 15 days before the travel date: 0%
  • 8 days before the travel date: 50%
  • 3 days before the travel date: 80%
  • On the start day of the trip or by no-show: 100%

Refund policy:

  • In case of a refund, the client will incur a 4×1,000 fee and any financial costs.
  • If changes or cancellations are due to force majeure or proven acts of God, the penalties may be reduced based on the suppliers’ decisions.
    Any refund to the client will be processed within 30 calendar days.
    The change and cancellation policies will also apply if the passenger has not paid the program cost by the specified dates. In such a case, non-payment will be considered as cancellation of the plan.
